Top 3 ways to actually achieve your weight loss goals.

There is more information than ever before available to assist you in achieving your health and fitness goals and it is now easier than ever to learn how. The problem, actually doing it!

We see more and more fitness experts in the industry with new idea’s and solutions on how you can be the next ‘success story’… in only weeks! Although it’s possible for you to achieve results over a short period of time, is it the best way? We believe that in order for you to live a healthy lifestyle long term, you need these three things:

Accountability: Accountability comes in many forms, but first, you need to have an honest conversation with yourself.

Ask yourself questions like:

  1. What is your current level of fitness?
  2. Are you happy with your current fitness level and body composition?
  3. Are you ready to make a change?

Why is this important?

Picture this scenario… You have had a long day at work, you’re on your way home and are a little hungry. You want to head home and eat … so you do… Training missed!

If you have set yourself the above goals and shared them with someone else (your trainer, your friend or your partner) you will be more accountable. Your thought process is now different and you will be more likely to say … I’m hungry but I’ll get in, do my session, then eat my post workout meal.

If you have a session booked at Taylor Made Personal Training Cronulla we will definitely help you stay accountable!

A Plan: A weekly training schedule is a great way to avoid missing your training sessions. Scheduling in your training like any other appointment each week enables you to book other appointments around it. Once you know your training schedule, your too busy excuses no longer exist!

Enjoyment: Finding the training style you enjoy will enable you to continue training long term. Training like a bull at a gate is great (sometimes) and will surely see some great results, but if you’re struggling to turn up and enjoy the sessions you’re completing, you’re more likely to quit.

It’s more important to turn up, enjoy your session (even if it’s at a lower intensity) and progress at your own rate then to jump into the deep end and end up quitting, or even worse, injured.
